To qualify, your friend or family member must:

  • Be a new member with no existing or open accounts (including joint accounts) in the last 12 months

  • Make at least one ACH direct deposit into a new checking account within 90 days

  • Perform at least 30 posted debit card transactions within 90 days

  2. Send the Become a Member link to your referral and have them fill out an online membership application, or they can also visit any BRECO location!

*Refer a Friend Requirements: Refer a Friend cash bonus offer valid for new members only. New members cannot have had any existing accounts (primary or joint owner) within the last 12 months. Referrer and Friend/Family cannot begin credit union membership on the same business day.

Account Opening Criteria: Primary account holder must be 18 years or older and meet BRECO FCU’s membership eligibility requirements, including opening a savings account with a minimum balance of $5, and a checking account with a minimum balance of $25. The checking account is free. However, other fees may be incurred for services, such as stop payment or NSF fees. Cash Bonus Criteria: To receive the cash bonus, the new checking account must meet the following criteria within the first 90 days: 1. Minimum of 30 posted debit card transactions, 2. establish ACH direct deposit, 3. must be open and cannot be delinquent (more than 30 days) at the time of bonus payment. Bonus will be deposited into the qualifying Checking and referring member’s account within 10 business days in the month following the end of the first 90-day period if qualifications are met.
