Credit unions are not-for-profit member-owned financial cooperatives that offer members cost-effective financial alternatives to high-price banking services. At BRECO, we take our mission seriously to assist our member-owners build and secure their financial success. Being a not-for-profit, we return earnings back to members in the form of better interest rates, reduced or no fees and quality personal service; all because our focus is on serving our members and not on making profits.

BRECO FCU was first chartered in 1934 by a group of utility employees from the Baton Rouge Electric Company, which merged with Gulf States Utilities in 1938 and then with Entergy in 1994. We serve over 5,000 members with major SEGs or Select Employee Groups such as Entergy, APTIM, DEMCO, MMR, CAAWS (Capital Area Animal Welfare Society), and IBEW Local 995. See our full SEG list.
